- How does billing work?
- Pick a plan: Starter is £5/mo and includes £5 of resource usage, Pro is £10/mo and includes £10 of resource usage. CPU, RAM, disk, and backup storage are metered per-second based on actual consumption. Backup storage is billed separately at £0.000000019 per GB per second. If you use more than your plan's included credit in a month, the overage is added to your next invoice.
- What counts as usage?
- Every second your server's CPU, memory, disk, and backup storage are allocated counts toward your usage. Backups are enabled by default and run once a day — you can switch them off, or take extra snapshots on demand — and are billed separately at £0.000000019 per GB per second. We keep your most recent snapshots (1 on the trial, 3 on Starter, 7 on Pro) and prune older ones so retained storage cannot creep up on your bill.
- What happens when my server is idle?
- When no players are connected, your server enters sleep mode. CPU stops entirely, and memory stops being billed as memory — the heap is written out to disk and charged at the disk rate, roughly a fortieth of the memory rate. Disk stays allocated to preserve your world. An empty server is cheap rather than free, and how cheap depends on how large your world and heap are.
- Can I set a spending limit?
- Usage beyond your included credit continues without a cap by default. You can set an execution freeze threshold in your dashboard, and we email you at 80% and 100% of it. It stops your servers running at the level you choose, but retained disk and backup storage keep being measured, so it is not a maximum bill.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes, and it needs no card. You create a server straight away with £0.50 of usage credit and 24 hours to spend it in. There is no second stage and nothing to cancel: adding a card does not extend it, and it never turns into a paid plan on its own, so there is no automatic charge. When the 24 hours are up, or the credit is used, your server stops and is kept for 7 days. To keep it, you buy Starter or Pro — an ordinary order, charged when you place it, with the 14-day cancellation right every paid plan has. If you do nothing, the server is deleted after those 7 days and you owe nothing.
- Do I need to pick a plan size?
- No. Your server auto-scales based on demand — more players or heavier mods trigger more resources automatically, up to your plan's ceiling (2 vCPU / 4 GB on the free trial, 4 vCPU / 8 GB on Starter, 8 vCPU / 32 GB on Pro). No manual upgrades, and you only pay for what gets used.
- How does auto-scaling work?
- Your server is created with your plan's ceiling as its hard limit, and it takes whatever it needs underneath that with no request or approval step. More players, world generation or a heavy modpack simply consume more CPU and memory up to the ceiling; when the load passes, consumption falls again. Metering reads what was actually used each second, so bursting costs you only for the seconds you burst.
- How many servers can I run?
- We open 1 server on the free trial, 5 on Starter and 10 on Pro, and there is no per-server fee — they all draw on the same account and the same credit. If you need more, message support and we will raise it for your account. It is a check against bulk creation rather than a plan limit, so upgrading does not change it and being asked does not mean you have done anything wrong.
- What payment methods do you accept?
- All major credit and debit cards via Polar (Visa, Mastercard, Amex). We sell in pounds and in Turkish lira: the prices on this page are the ones for the language you are reading it in, while the currency you are actually charged in is fixed when you open the checkout, from your billing country, and does not change for that subscription afterwards.
- Does a package renew on its own?
- No. A package is a one-time order for 30 days: no card is kept on file and nothing is ever taken automatically. We email you 3 days before it ends, and buying another period is a fresh order you place yourself.
- Does sleeping make my package last longer?
- No, and it is not meant to. The price covers 30 days whether the server is awake or asleep. Sleeping is there so an empty server stops burning a machine — on a package it costs you nothing either way, and the server wakes the moment a player joins.
- What happens when the period is up?
- The server stops. Your world, files and backups are kept for 7 days, so buying another period puts it back exactly as you left it. After that the Service ends and there is a further 7 days in which we can still recover a backup for you; then it is removed.
- Can I cancel a package?
- Yes. A package order carries the same 14-day cancellation right as any other paid order. If your server was already started in that time you pay a proportionate amount for the days you used, and the rest goes back to the card you paid with.
- Package or pay by the second?
- Take a package if you want to know the number in advance and never think about it again. Pay by the second if your server sits empty most of the week — you will usually pay less, and you get the account credit, the spending threshold and one invoice across every server.
